Incredibly rendered Moran cake "visions" offers more variety than any other great illustrator situation. Of his most enduring legacies are his 1940 paints a stunning young model named Norma Jean Baker. He painted more pictures of her than any other artist.

Rolf Armstrong was another famous artist Brown and Bigelow calendar. After arriving home from a trip to France in 1919, opened a studio in Greenwich Village where he painted the madness Ziegfeld Girls. Later, while in Hollywood, all the big stars of the time she posed for him. Popular actresses Mary Pickford, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich and Katherine Hepburn were painted by him. He even spoke of Boris Karloff to pose for him on the set of the original "Frankenstein."
He refused to work from photographs and always in search of a perfect model. When asked why they prefer a live model through a photograph, said: "I want the person who lives in front of me. As I look again and again and again while I work, I have a thousand fresh impressions, live … all the brightness, spontaneous exuberance and joy that comes from a young and happy heart. "
Armstrong pastel pin-ups of their ideal, scantily clad, "Girl Next Door" a quality, bright and shiny for them. His paintings of healthy women, marriageable girls are some of the most memorable of all the famous illustrators. It was truly a thin man of talent.

It was sublime talent! A student of the Art Institute of Minneapolis, he liked to paint girls who were new to the modeling business. He believed that the ideal of a girl with pin

During the forty-two-year period 1930-1972, produced over 500 paintings of beautiful young women, almost all painted in oil and canvas. Today fully developed, finished works of art are second in value of the paintings of Alberto Vargas.
Alberto Vargas (1896-1982)
The glamor illustrator most prolific and famous of all time is Alberto Vargas. The son of Max Vargas, a famous and talented photographer in his own right, Alberto learned to airbrush his father before he was a teenager. Most do not realize that he was actually born in Peru and not come to the U.S. until 1916. He arrived at Ellis Island through Europe, where he had been since 1911. Once there, he studied in Geneva and Zurich, and by the time he made his way here, he was a gifted talent coming into bloom. In the three years he had posted his own doctor and was painting storefronts and shop windows in New York, traders in the city.

Now, the reason why this article was written … to discuss the most shapely, beautifully round, perfectly proportioned, plus size, beauty pear-shaped in the history of Pin Up Girl: Duane Bryers "Hilda"
One night, while wandering "Google Images" for the contents of curves, I was in the Les Toil Big Beautiful Pin Up Gallery. I clicked through and followed his fun and looking curiously titled links to good nutrition, the images of women who had started the night looking.
After I do admire the talents of Les, who returned to his home page and click in a cheerful blue-green and yellow flag with the name "Hilda" written on it. I clicked on it, is not prepared at all for what was about to see.
As soon as the page opened, I stopped and stared in amazement. He was one of those moments when we see something that you are fully taken, and the world around you seems to disappear, and everything goes completely silent, as it narrows its focus, taking on what is before you.
The discovery of Hilda was like discovering a lost treasure. I recognized immediately. I remembered as a perfect likeness of what I had for years in the idealized feminine form, round, soft, pear-shaped, plump and well proportioned to the end.
If a male is the natural instinct is to respond to the rounded, softer, more women generously proportioned, it is understandable why there is so much like her. In his long legs, soft baby face, stubby arms, invite your hips, round and large, is a vision of femininity that form in front of you. Add to all that wide and well-developed breasts, soft belly and glorious giving waist- hip, and discovers she is an ideal example of the whole figure perfectly. The perfect size also pear-shaped,
nubile beauty.
Unlike of the stick thin female icons so popular today, Hilda does not have a central position. She embodies the lofty ideals of old women's fashion "round and smooth." She is feminine to the nth degree.
Duane Bryers was the first illustrator to use plus size models as subjects in their pin up art. Sometimes he did not use a model of everything and painted from memory or fantasy. A feat, according to pin up artist Les Toil, "most impressive!"
"Hilda" is owned by Brown & Bigelow
