We need an indoor place for our small wedding in October (20 people) in the Dallas area. Suggestions?
We were getting married here in Colorado, but my boyfriend has to move to Dallas for a new job in 2 weeks. October is too early to call their work a week off to re- our wedding, so Dallas is. We use our own decorations – garlands, butterflies, jewelry wire, etc – and cousin who bought it. I love a historical chapel or a room of old world style in an inn, and then have a reception restaurant. Everyplace I've found, or not allow us to decorate and / or insists on using their catering services. I accept the restoration, but they all require at least 50 people. For example, I love one of the rooms on the website Capella Court, but will not be cooked less than 50 people. We do not know many people! Grrr! Others have small weddings. I'm sure that not all resort to square, lighted fluorescent centers recreation. You can not be outdoors because the candles are an important part of our ceremony. Also, I am the girlfriend and I just want an indoor wedding. Hmmph! Therefore, nobody has an idea of our situation?
You could try the Carpenter House in Plano, TX. The website is below. It is a house Victorian. Not sure about the decor, which is likely limited on how you can set things up (for the walls and stuff). I think you have to use its restoration, but have several packages, and the smallest is 25 people. Alternatively Wedding Chapel in North Richland corner Hills. Allow food from outside, going to work with only 20 people, and have both indoor and outdoor facilities. Their website is also lower. You can also check out the Corinthian Bed and Breakfast, located in Dallas. It's an old (1905) house, and could work with the guest list. Again, I'm pretty sure that would be somewhat limited in decor, but you have to contact them. Another place called Maple Manor in Dallas. I could probably accommodate, and have a list other vendors (photographers, broadcasters, etc.) in the area, too (http://www.maplemanorhotel.com/nss-folder/pdfweddingmenu/MapleManorEventInfo_1105.pdf). You you can also see other bed and breakfast in the area to see if they do weddings. Good luck and congratulations!
