Structure of a paper mache project?

How to structure a temple? What I can use? Cardboard, etc.? I'm doing the temple sun paper mache (a temple in Latin America.) before you can make paper mache I need the structure of the temple. how or what I could do I do this for?

use of aluminum foil. is robust and easy to mold, that's what I used for one of my papier mache projects.
