Which will have the best bang for the buck: Cap and Trade, or the Mayan Goddess Ixchel?
The good folks at the UN Climate Change convention did pray to Ixchel:

Bonus question: how many degrees would either intervention lower the earth’s temperature?
So far, 3 answers that have little to do with the question of cost and benefit. Why is that?
Both entities stand the same chance of stopping climate change.
Praying to the Mayan God does not require that we set up a system of global wealth redistribution that will result in only a ruling class over a serf class. Cap and Trade is now and always has been a shell game designed to destroy the middle class of the western world.
The Costs of Cap and Trade will result in no change in global climate trends — that is it will have no net positive effect. It will simply redirect money toward the likes of algore etal.
If praying to this Mayan God is an acceptable alternative, I suggest we sacrifice algore to this god and hope for the best.
