How to wash a Mexican rug?
The tag says it needs to be dry cleaned, but id rather not spend the money. Will a washing machine work? Any other suggestions?
If you just want it to smell better try one of those dry cleaner bags that you throw ito the dryer. Dryel is one that comes to mind. But if you have to wash the mexican rug wash it in cold water and dry it on a flat surface. because of the dyes used in wool and less chance of running. Another way to clean it is a Steam cleaner I have used it on my Persian rug in a high traffic area to clean it.And that has wool in it.
