Does anyone know where I can get a native American Indian dog near Maryland?
I am looking for a Native American Indian dog. I would rather find one that is a rescue. Is there any near Maryland? I am willing to drive almost the states as well. It's a pretty rare breed and the breeder I can only find CA.
Some breeders of this beautiful breed, but rare. In addition to the AC, there are several in MI and one in Wisconsin, but I can not find anything closer to MD that. Check here: http://www.breederinfocenter.com/index.php?c=Native+American+Indian+Dog For those unfamiliar with this breed, you can learn about it here: Edit http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/nativeamericanindiandog.htm – It is not a recognized breed by the AKC, but that does not mean that race is not a ligitimate. See here the history of the breed: http://www.indiandogs.com/foundationhistory.htm If you check out the early history of any race now recognized by the AKC, you will find which was developed from bearer shares, or a combination of shares of other races. And if you read the history of the web page cited above, says: "I feel this is very essential for any race, especially this one, as they were never, so-called pure breeds hundreds of years Native Americans who developed and grew. they wanted to keep the small differences, and there is no reason to try to breed small carbon copies now, just to satisfy the great "Fast Fix" type AKC registrations. Do not worry about the future of the races;. "Popular" how fast you can make these modern "Fast Fix" skeptics say, "were neither are any of the Indian dogs old left in America today." Have not been investigated and talked to the old enough to know to where they were originally, or that the groups had, or even what their personalitys or look like? In addition, these new players unscrupulous saying wolf hybrids that the type originated in northern wolves and their NAID are and were 120 pounds when northern types were never more than 75 lbs. The elders told me that wolves were not used and the latest research and evidence shows that wolves were not used by Native Americans and the wolves are not even used in the original development of the first Dogs domesticated by man. There are over 20,000 hybrid wolf rescue and humane societies in the U.S. alone and I can. So there are many more have to be sacrificed every year. This deceptive advertising wolf hybrids as good family pets, is ruining the wolf gene pool pure that some states U.S. and Canada is trying to bring back to their old areas. Not that dogs have contemporary India a bad name. The wolves have no place in the backyards chains or in cages, they need to stay pure and live in nature as nature intended. This is a very good example of an ancient culture and new culture clash., What makes the wolf lives in your back yard or walking down the street in a string? We must return to a more natural balance in the breeding of domestic animals and save our wild animals. "They are not wolf hybrids or wild animals.
