Where is the highest point in Old Mexico, with motor vehicle access?
A great place in Mexico drive if you want to be on top is the "National Park Nevado de Toluca" near Valle de Bravo (great engine) and Toluca, Mexico State. There is a decent dirt road I think that is close to the crater at about 4,700 meters (15,400 feet) This Mexico City-Toluca volcanic area is the hub of the country and many places are very high ( At least half a mile to a mile higher than Real de Catorce). In the north, the impressive mountain near Galeana, Nuevo Leon (south of Monterey) has a road go to the top at about 3700 meters (over 12,000 feet). Best of luck!
