Bangalore has always been known for its healthy climate, urban parks, gardens and relaxed culture. However, the rapid urbanization after the boom has resulted in the creation of urban chaos in this once beautiful city. The city has certainly grown prosperous, but has paid a high cost in terms of quality of life. Traffic jams, high level of contamination and deterioration of infrastructure due to rapid population growth has led to tremendous stress among residents. In this context the concept of weekends for city dwellers of this metropolis gains importance. Most citizens of the new generation of Bangalore are immigrants from the rural hinterland of India. The sudden rise of IT has beaten at least in the cream layer of rural society in India and in a short period of 15 years met the generation of urban migrants in the first place, that are polite and soft, but not very comfortable with the etiquette surrounding them. While they are comfortable with the convenience and speed of this urban nobody can deny that there is a part of his mind, which pulls back to nature, where nostalgia called and where the mind yearns for the simple way to his childhood.
Wayanad is only 6 hours drive from the urban chaos of Bangalore. Only 280 kms from Bangalore, a different world awaits you. Rolling green hills, the air very fresh mountain blue skies are almost touching, cascading waterfalls, wildlife and full of tea plantations and spices, which promises a romantic getaway, Wayanad is all that and more. A legendary land, whose spices changed world history, a culture almost three thousand years old, a place rich in ancient myth, Wayanad is something that never have enough.
