Old German Pottery Marking?
My dads great grandfather (so my great-great grandfather) had an antique shop and my dad still has a water pitcher looking-thing. Its designed with diagonal blue lines with flower (plant-likeish) designs in the boxes that these lines make. It has a handle. It has a marking of a (yeah theres only one) sword on the bottom and a longish word that my dad said is probably where it was made. This is a german piece of pottery. Sorry I couldn’t post pictures but my dad won’t let me touch it. He thinks its very valuable. Now considering my great-great grandfather (whom i’ve never met he was dead long before i was born) had bought this water pitcher for his antique shop it must have been (at least) 50 years or older at that time. Im trying to find out how much this antique is worth. Please give me links pictures anything that has to do with the pottery marking or the pottery itself.
Thanks so much guys!
Ive already been to that site
This kind of pottery comes from a Region, which is called “Kannenbäckerland” or Westerwald.

Here is a side with some pictures of the typical kinds of potteries.
I live in the surrouding of Adendorf a center of the Rhineland Potteries: http://www.adendorfer-toepfergemeinschaft.de/
But these potteries were thing of all day use. They had masses of this stuff, so it may be not very valueable.
