How should I decorate my room cranberry alive?
My husband and I just painted our living room cranberry red. I'm starting to think decorating ideas, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what will work with bright color and style of home. It's a 1920 bungalow, so I want keep that old-fashioned, comfortable and mix with a little pottery barn classic designs. We have a Pottery Barn sofa green / brown, president of club large, rectangular ottoman brown (used as an alternative to coffee table) and a beige carpet / Persian sage. I was thinking of photographs black and white of the places we visited, but I need other options. Maybe crop Paris / Italy posters? You would be too busy / too much? What has suggestions for accent table finishes, wall decor, picture frame and ends? In addition, it is fine wood furniture brown with art black frame wall?
SOOO fun! One of my design projects in school that began as a study in blueberries (yes, blueberries) … which led to one of my color pallettes: blueberry, espresso brown tones, creams and deep green ground cover / moss. Sound like the colors of your living room!. Anyway, I digress. The only thing that counts in their descriptions (except the club president) is the absence of patterns. At least, it seems that everything in your room room is a solid color (except, of course, the Persian rug). I wonder if maybe a few well-placed cushions, upholstery made of special fabric to find including the cranberry tones, browns and greens add a little dazzle? Find two or three structures that complement each other. You know: it's a boy healthy mix of all three, which is mostly blueberries and it is above all a brilliant (or some) of green than the color appears in the sofa / carpet. One of them is bound to have another color or colors that could add to your palette, opening the door to other additions to its place. The first decades of the 1900's were about to return to the individual craftsman's art … because the industrial revolution had swept away the need for individual craftsmen in the change century. Find a couple pieces of interesting craft of these times (or candidates of these times) that complement the old style I think you're talking about … and help keep the heat I think you're looking for. Even something like what some inexpensive votive candles homemade wooden block clean. Those who carry the wood of floor at eye … If you are subservient to the idea of putting raw b & w photos on the wall (which I do not think it such a bad idea), you can mount some shelves (with Hidden media) on a wall, staggered, or in unison. A strategic depression glass vase with a very good fake calla lilies (or pale green / hydrangea white balloons) would go with the decor is already doing. Pottery Barn is definitely a great place to shop: they take the old styles and make them modern (love their old oscillating fans ….). Anyway, I like what one commentator said others on the use of metallic structures for any photos to put on the wall. Of Anyway, not sure if any of this helped brainstorm. Sounds like it already is rich, warm and wonderful. I'm sure that anything that will add to the very nice. Good luck.
