Substitute a cake pan for a casserole dish?
For thanksgiving dinner, i’m planning on making a casserole-type meal for my family. The recipe calls for a 8 by 8 by 2-inch baking dish, it should be cooked at 400 degrees, and the food serves 4 people. I don’t have a casserole dish, so i want to substitute it with a cake pan. I have 2 types of non-stick cake pans– a square and a rectangular one. Which pan should i use and what can i do to it so it can accommodate for what the recipe calls for?
Thanks so much for your help!
Hi, Yes you can! Use the square one. I would cut the oven temp down to 375. JOSA
